This artwork by Nja Mahdaoui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2010. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Graphemes sold for USD 278,500.00 (€ 200,446.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nja Mahdaoui; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ikhtilej sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of USD 341,000.00 (€ 272,146.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nja Mahdaoui erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Graphemes für USD 278.500,00 (€ 200.446,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nja Mahdaoui; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ikhtilej im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 341.000,00 (€ 272.146,85).
