Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Niti Wattuya could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Landscape changed hands for HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,318.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niti Wattuya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dark Age in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 59,309.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Niti Wattuya konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.318,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niti Wattuya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dark Age im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 59.309,25).
