Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Light Of Solitude by Niti Wattuya for HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,689.02). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niti Wattuya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dark Age in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 59,309.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Light Of Solitude von Niti Wattuya für HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.689,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niti Wattuya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dark Age im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 59.309,25).
