Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (I) The Oriental Soul (Ii) The Oriental Soul by Niti Wattuya was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,703.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niti Wattuya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dark Age in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 59,309.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (I) The Oriental Soul (Ii) The Oriental Soul von Niti Wattuya wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.703,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niti Wattuya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dark Age im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 59.309,25).
