This aerodynamic sculpture created using a atypical mould, develops in a vortex of sharpened nails which vertically intertwine lending the work a forceful vitality. Nino Franchina pushes her material beyond the limits of its plasticity in each and every one of her sculptures.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Ikebana 5 by Nino Franchina for EUR 4,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nino Franchina - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piccola Astrairon, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 11,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ikebana 5 von Nino Franchina für EUR 4.750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nino Franchina mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piccola Astrairon beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für EUR 11.875,00 versteigert wurde.
