The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,083.75 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Vechtomov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ville de l'Est/ Eastern town in January 2024 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.

Die Arbeit 'Rouge et noir'/ 'Red and black' sans cadre von Nikolai Vechtomov wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Rebel spiritsNon-conformist art from Important European collections bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.083,75 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolai Vechtomov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ville de l'Est/ Eastern town im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00.
