The »bidding war« ended at GBP 75,000.00 (€ 84,762.78), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Children By The Piano in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 493,133.17).

Die Arbeit Boys In A Birch Forest von Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 84.762,78) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Children By The Piano im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 493.133,17).
