This artwork by Nicolas Kalmakoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2021. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Nude with a Monkey sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,173.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Kalmakoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 380,941.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolas Kalmakoff erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Nude with a Monkey für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.173,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Kalmakoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 380.941,16).
