Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Muse by Nicolas Kalmakoff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 30,553.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Kalmakoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 380,941.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Muse von Nicolas Kalmakoff kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 30.553,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Kalmakoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aphrodite with Eros and Anteros im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 380.941,16).
