Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Martha Hyder Online auction, the work Set Design For Boris Godunov changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 993.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Village in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32).
