A top price for Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois - as previously expected
In June 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Russian Village by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Russian Village is the most expensive artwork by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian Village von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 34.572,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Russian Village das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
