Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La forza del destino. Preziosilla by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Village in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,572.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La forza del destino. Preziosilla von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois im November 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian Village im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 34.572,32).
