Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Anthony Abbot Kneeling, The Young St John The Baptist Beside Him by Niccolò dell'Abate was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2010. The price achieved of USD 28,750.00 (€ 20,728.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niccolò dell'Abate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Présumé D'Ercole II D'Este in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 313,000.00.

Die Arbeit Saint Anthony Abbot Kneeling, The Young St John The Baptist Beside Him von Niccolò dell'Abate wurde im Januar 2010 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 20.728,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niccolò dell'Abate erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Présumé D'Ercole II D'Este im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 313.000,00.
