Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Lesbian Kissing Booth by Nicole Eisenman. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,266.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicole Eisenman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mermaid Catch in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,013,215.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lesbian Kissing Booth von Nicole Eisenman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.266,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicole Eisenman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mermaid Catch im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.013.215,32).
