Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Study of a seated lady and a subsidiary study of a head by Nicolas Lancret was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,272.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Lancret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,655,000.00 (€ 2,174,269.10).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Study of a seated lady and a subsidiary study of a head von Nicolas Lancret kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.272,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Lancret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.655.000,00 (€ 2.174.269,10).
