Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Part II, which included the work An outdoor concert with the Beautiful Greek and the Amorous Turk by Nicolas Lancret. The price achieved of USD 163,800.00 (€ 134,981.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Lancret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,655,000.00 (€ 2,174,269.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit An outdoor concert with the Beautiful Greek and the Amorous Turk von Nicolas Lancret zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 163.800,00 (€ 134.981,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Lancret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.655.000,00 (€ 2.174.269,10).
