Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Le Nid d'Oiseaux by Nicolas Lancret. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,379.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Lancret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,655,000.00 (€ 2,174,269.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Nid d'Oiseaux von Nicolas Lancret zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.379,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Lancret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.655.000,00 (€ 2.174.269,10).
