Admittedly, works by Nicolas Lancret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,655,000.00 (€ 2,174,269.10).

Die Arbeit Que le coeur d'un amant est sujet à changer' ('That the Heart of a Lover is Subject to Change') von Nicolas Lancret kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 396.500,00 (€ 340.401,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Lancret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.655.000,00 (€ 2.174.269,10).
