Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Felix Rohatyn, which included the work An Outdoor Concert With The Beautiful Greek And The Amorous Turk by Nicolas Lancret. The price achieved of USD 327,600.00 (€ 281,274.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Lancret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,655,000.00 (€ 2,174,269.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Felix Rohatyn durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Outdoor Concert With The Beautiful Greek And The Amorous Turk von Nicolas Lancret zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 281.274,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Lancret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.655.000,00 (€ 2.174.269,10).
