Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nicolás García Uriburu was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 47,644.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolás García Uriburu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 47.644,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolás García Uriburu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80) versteigert wurde.
