Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Tres Ombúes by Nicolás García Uriburu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,150.60). Admittedly, works by Nicolás García Uriburu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tres Ombúes von Nicolás García Uriburu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.150,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolás García Uriburu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
