Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Nobleman With A Powdered Wig by Nicolas de Largillière for USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,060.01). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Largillière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La belle Strasbourgeoise in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 1,570,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Nobleman With A Powdered Wig von Nicolas de Largillière für USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.060,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Largillière erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La belle Strasbourgeoise im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.570.000,00.
