In October 2021 Christies held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait of a lady, holding a peacock feather fan with her servant, holding a dog by Nicolas de Largillière. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,805.40), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Largillière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La belle Strasbourgeoise in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 1,570,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, holding a peacock feather fan with her servant, holding a dog von Nicolas de Largillière zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.805,40) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Largillière erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La belle Strasbourgeoise im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.570.000,00.
