Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Largillière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La belle Strasbourgeoise in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 1,570,000.00.

Die Arbeit Saint Barthélemy von Nicolas de Largillière kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 126.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Largillière erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La belle Strasbourgeoise im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.570.000,00.
