This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicola Simbari; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Plage sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,989.17).
