Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Nick Mauss was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,030.04). Admittedly, works by Nick Mauss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,890.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nick Mauss im Juli 2012 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.030,04) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nick Mauss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.890,68).
