Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection, which included the work Portrait of Zebras Turning Heads, Ngorongoro Crater, 2005 by Nick Brandt. The price achieved of EUR 11,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nick Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Zebras Turning Heads, Ngorongoro Crater, 2005 von Nick Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 11.340,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nick Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03).
