This artwork by Nguyen Nam Son achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction, the work Nude sold for HKD 277,200.00 (€ 30,702.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nguyen Nam Son have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nude in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 150,649.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Nam Son erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Nude für HKD 277.200,00 (€ 30.702,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nguyen Nam Son auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nude im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 150.649,74).
