Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Unknown by Ng Po Wan. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,457.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ng Po Wan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Atlantic Coast in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,589.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Ng Po Wan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.457,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ng Po Wan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Atlantic Coast im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.589,13).
