A top price for Ng Po Wan - as previously expected
The work Atlantic Coast by Ng Po Wan was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,589.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Atlantic Coast is the most expensive artwork by Ng Po Wan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Atlantic Coast von Ng Po Wan wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.589,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Atlantic Coast das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ng Po Wan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
