Auction result well in line with expectations
The work “On the Wings of the Evening” (New Story Magazine, cover illustration) by Newell Convers Wyeth was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,128.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).
