Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Oh, Morgan's men are out for you; and Blackbeard--buccaneer!..." by Newell Convers Wyeth was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,295,000.00 (€ 2,082,766.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Newell Convers Wyeth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Hands Up!", which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).

Die Arbeit "Oh, Morgan's men are out for you; and Blackbeard--buccaneer!..." von Newell Convers Wyeth kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.295.000,00 (€ 2.082.766,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Newell Convers Wyeth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Hands Up!" beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 4.951.500,00 (€ 4.680.941,58) versteigert wurde.
