Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nelson Makamo was sold in the Wired: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 819.00 (€ 963.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Makamo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Child in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,115.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nelson Makamo wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Wired: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 819,00 (€ 963,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Makamo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Child im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.115,06).
