Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included this untitled work by Nelson Makamo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,621.14), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nelson Makamo have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,115.06) in March 2020 for the work Portrait Of A Child.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nelson Makamo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.621,14) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Nelson Makamo haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.115,06) im März 2020 für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Child beobachtet.
