Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sir Noel Coward And Elaine Stritch, 1962 by Neil Libbert was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,559.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Libbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).

Die Arbeit Sir Noel Coward And Elaine Stritch, 1962 von Neil Libbert wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.559,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Libbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.567,13).
