Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Buckingham Palace, 1970 by Neil Libbert. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,559.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Libbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buckingham Palace, 1970 von Neil Libbert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.559,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Libbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.567,13).
