This artwork by Arifien Neif achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Oriental Circus sold for HKD 271,500.00 (€ 22,375.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arifien Neif - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Procession, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,476.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arifien Neif erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Oriental Circus für HKD 271.500,00 (€ 22.375,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arifien Neif mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Procession beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.476,46) versteigert wurde.
