Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Sunday Brunch by Arifien Neif. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,118.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 48,000.00 – 68,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arifien Neif have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Procession in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,476.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunday Brunch von Arifien Neif zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.118,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 48.000,00 – 68.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arifien Neif auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Procession im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.476,46).
