Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Menanti by Arifien Neif. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 3,914.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arifien Neif achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,476.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Menanti von Arifien Neif zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 3.914,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arifien Neif erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Procession im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.476,46).
