Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Swing by Nathalie Djurberg was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,278.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathalie Djurberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Puppets from The Parade of Rituals and Stereotypes 3" in November 2015 with an auction result of SEK 1,000,000.00 (€ 108,502.18).
