In March 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work La Corrida Ix - 1972-87 by Natalia Dumitresco. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,550.00 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Natalia Dumitresco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition, 1957 in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 42,671.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Corrida Ix - 1972-87 von Natalia Dumitresco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.550,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Natalia Dumitresco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition, 1957 im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.671,00.
