Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse and Woman in Love by Nasser Ovissi was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 49,000.00 (€ 33,867.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nasser Ovissi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horses, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 96,593.60).

Die Arbeit Horse and Woman in Love von Nasser Ovissi wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 33.867,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nasser Ovissi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horses beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für USD 122.500,00 (€ 96.593,60) versteigert wurde.
