Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Le Couple by Nasser Ovissi. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,404.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nasser Ovissi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horses in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 96,593.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Couple von Nasser Ovissi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.404,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nasser Ovissi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horses im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 96.593,60).
