In October 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (The Lute Player) by Nasser Ovissi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,665.75), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nasser Ovissi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horses in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 96,593.60).

Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (The Lute Player) von Nasser Ovissi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.665,75) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nasser Ovissi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horses im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 96.593,60).
