Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Au Jardin, Canteleu by Narcisse Guilbert was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,086.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Narcisse Guilbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place Du Marché À Rouen, which sold at auction in March 2016 for EUR 21,250.00.

Die Arbeit Au Jardin, Canteleu von Narcisse Guilbert wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.086,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Narcisse Guilbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Place Du Marché À Rouen beobachtet, die im März 2016 für EUR 21.250,00 versteigert wurde.
