Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Woman At The Seaside/ Red Yao Woman Of North Vietnam by Le Nang Hien was sold in the An Important Collection of Vietnamese Paintings Featuring The Philip Ng Collection auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,120.63), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Le Nang Hien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Women Of Hanoi In A White Tunic (Ao Dai), which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).
