It achieved a price of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,594.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Le Nang Hien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Women Of Hanoi In A White Tunic (Ao Dai), which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70).

Die Arbeit Jeune Femme Assise Lisant Un Livre (Seated Young Woman Reading A Book) von Le Nang Hien wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.594,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Le Nang Hien mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Women Of Hanoi In A White Tunic (Ao Dai) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70) versteigert wurde.
