Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Swazieuropa by Nandipha Mntambo. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,831.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nandipha Mntambo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swazizeus in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 29,887.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Swazieuropa von Nandipha Mntambo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.831,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nandipha Mntambo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swazizeus im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 29.887,07).
