Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Narcissus, 2009 by Nandipha Mntambo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,197.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nandipha Mntambo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swazizeus in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 29,887.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Narcissus, 2009 von Nandipha Mntambo kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.197,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nandipha Mntambo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swazizeus im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 29.887,07).
