Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Christies in New York held the auction The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern, which included the work Untitled (Hills With Huts) by Nandalal Bose. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,461.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nandalal Bose have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bull Fighter in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 147,750.00 (€ 109,161.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Hills With Huts) von Nandalal Bose zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.461,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nandalal Bose auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bull Fighter im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 147.750,00 (€ 109.161,43).
